Students in Delhi to be promoted to next class without exams

Students studying in classes nursery to 8th will be promoted to next class without exam, said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.  Mr. Sisodia also said that government will begin online classes for the students who will be promoted to class 12th. Regrading the promotion of the students of class 9th and 11th, the minister said that final decision will be taken after consulting the same with the CBSE.Mr. Sisodia said that exams up to class 8th could not be held due to violence in northeast Delhi followed by the Corona outbreak.“Students who are registering for the online classes will be given monetary benefits for buying data packs,” said  minister in a joint digital press conference with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.The minister said that online classes for Class 12th will begin from first April and same will be organized for the students of class 10th after sometime.According to the minister, students will receive activity daily through SMS    and IVR, and they will be required to maintain daily activity as a project."When the schools are open, the teachers will check these project and the students will be given its weightage," he said
