ICAI and IIM-A signs MoU for management training for the CAs

ICAI, nation’s apex body for the Chartered Accountants, has signed a MoU with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad under which CAs will receive management training from the faculty of IIM-A. The main objective of the program is to open the pathway to mutual cooperation between the institutes for training programs tailored to suit the needs of the Chartered Accountants. "Mutual collaboration will bring a new dimension to the area of accounting and management education in the country. Courses conducted under the MoU will provide an opportunity for chartered accountants to enhance their management skill sets required for key positions in business and industry," said Naveen ND Gupta, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). "The MoU will benefit the chartered accountants in acquiring a number of skills required in today's digitized and fast-changing business environment. Participants will be exposed to emerging concepts, technology and business practices in achieving operational excellence," he added. From December 24-28, IIM-A will organize a five-day residential program in 'Advanced leadership’ for the Chartered Accountants.
