IGNOU invites application for the January 2019 session for the B.Ed. Program
The B.Ed. Program schedule for the January 2019 session has been announced by the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Candidates who wish to apply for the program can submit the online application form. The official link for the application program is onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission. The B.Ed program offered by the IGNOU consists of self-instructional materials and information technology. The program is recognized by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). Duration wise, the program is two-year long and is available in Hindi and English medium. Admissions to the entrance test will be done on the basis of an entrance test and it is scheduled in December 2018. The official date for the test will be announced by the IGNOU in due time. The last date to submit the application form is November 15, 2018. Eligibility criteria: The applicant must have scored at least 50 percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Candidates from engineering or technology with the specialization in science and mathematics must have scored 55 percent marks. In addition to the above-mentioned criteria a candidate must satisfy one of the below-mentioned checkpoints: Candidate must be a trained in-service teacher in elementary education orCandidate must have completed NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode. The reservation and relaxation to the backward candidates from the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD categories will be provided as per the government rules. The reservation for the Kashmiri migrants and war widow candidates will be provided under the University rules.
