D.El.Ed exam | NIOS to conduct the exams from May 31

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will be conducting the exam for the untrained teachers, who are in service from may 31 to June 2, 2018. Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) program is for the teachers who are untrained but are in service. The main aim of the program is to develop the untrained teachers in skills, competencies, attitude, and understanding so that the teaching process can become quite effective. The course consists of 10 papers which are divided into two semesters of nine months. According to the reports, more than 14 lakh teachers have registered themselves in the D.El.Ed exam. The course to train the untrained teachers in schools at the elementary level is being delivered by the NIOS on the behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. All the untrained teachers, who were appointed in teaching services on or before 10 August 2017 were required to enroll into the program on compulsory basis. The courses in the program have been approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the date sheet for the exams is available on the official website of the NIOS. NIOS has also developed an app which is available on the Google Play Store and is free of cost. The app provides all the important information about D.El.Ed course. The name of the app is NIOS_DElEd.
