Demystified! NEET 2019 UG exam pattern
With Government of India changing how various national level entrance exams are conducted in the nation, next year, National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET 2019 exam. The application process for the same has been started and official brochure, containing detailed information about the exam is available on the official website of the NTA. The exam is scheduled for May 5, 2019. Unlike most of the entrance exams, NEET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode and students will be given 3 hours to attempt the exam. Since the exam is in offline mode, students will be required to mark their answers on the OMR sheets which along with the ballpoint pen provided by the exam body. Yes, students are not allowed to carry pen inside the exam hall. The question paper will have three sections -- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Biology will further be sub-divided into Zoology and Botany sections. The question paper in total will have 180 questions for the students to attempt. Physics and Chemistry section will have 45 questions each and biology section will have 90 questions -- 45 from Botany and 45 from Zoology. Each correct answer will fetch 4 positive marks for the student and each incorrect answer will attract the penalty of negative one marks. For the questions left unattempted, no marks will be given to the students. The question paper will be made available in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
