GATE 2019: Candidates’ response sheets released by IIT Madras
Candidates’ response sheets for the GATE 2019 exam have been released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Candidates who had appeared for the exam can visit the official website of the institute -- appsgate.iitm.ac.in or gate.iitm.ac.in and check their respective response sheets. To download the response sheet, the candidate will be required to enter its enrollment number/e-mail id and password. According to IIT Madras, answer keys will be provided on the official website for all the branches and shifts in which the exam was conducted. Candidates will also be given an opportunity to challenge the answer key for a limited time period against payment. The final evaluation of the answer sheets will be done based on the finalized answer keys and results will be announced on March 16, 2019. Qualified candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the GOAPS. "After the evaluation of the answers, the actual (raw) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered for computing the GATE Score. For multi-session papers (subjects), raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be converted to Normalized marks for that particular subject," IIT Madras said. "Thus, raw marks (for single session papers) or normalized marks (for multi-session papers) will be used for computing the GATE Score, based on the qualifying marks. GATE 2019 results will be announced on the 16th March 2019 and will be available on the GOAPS Website," it added. GATE 2019 score card is valid for three years from the date of the announcement.
