Upcoming UGC NET exam to have a new pattern
National Testing Agency has announced the new dates for the UGC NET exam which is scheduled to be conducted in June 2019. With the date NTA also announced a slight change in the exam pattern along with the syllabus for the NET exam both of which are available on the official website. The change introduced is that while earlier candidates used to get a break between paper 1 and paper 2 there will be no such provision in the upcoming UGC NET exam. Now, the exam will be conducted in a single session which will be of three hours duration. In December, NTA had conducted the exam in which candidates were given one hour for the paper 1 and two hours for the paper 2 along with a break of 30 minutes between paper 1 and paper 2. The mode of examination will remain computer-based. In June, the exam will be conducted over a duration of 7 days in multiple shifts each day.
