Application process for WBJEE to commence soon; Exam in May

According to the official website of the WBJEE -- wbjee.in, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is scheduled to be held on May 19 and the application process for the same will commence from December 26. Once started, the window for registration will remain open until January 22, 2019. The exam will be of four hours duration and will be divided into two parts. Paper 1 will be of mathematics and will be conducted from 11 am to 1 pm and paper 2 will be of chemistry and physics combined from 2 pm to 4 pm. The results for the same are expected to be released on June 25. The lower age limit for registering for the exam is 17 years however; there is no upper age limit. Eligibility criteria for the exam Candidate must have passed the class 12th or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as subjectsThey should have chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology/ computer science/ computer application as compulsory subjects and must have passedCandidate must have scored 45 percent marks in the subjects mentioned above and there is a relaxation of 5 percent for the students from reserved category. About WBJEE WBJEE is a state level entrance exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). In WBJEE 2019 exam 104 institutes are expected to participate and will offer 30,000 seats to candidates for admissions. The exam is a gateway to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in the field of Engineering & Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy by the Universities, Government Colleges and Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes of the state.
