Guidelines for Open Book Exams issued by DU

Guidelines for Open Book Exams issued by DU

Delhi University has released guidelines for the preparation of the question papers for the open-book exams. As per the guidelines, these exams will not be conducted in an online mode and will require minimum internet connection for the downloading and uploading purposes. A document from DU said: “This is a one-time measure to facilitate the final semester or final year students for the academic session 2019-20.” The nationwide lockdown since March 25 was imposed to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus but as a result, the academic calendar of all the educational institutions has been disrupted.  On May 14, DU had announced that it will hold the semester-end exams from July 1. It also kept the option of open-book exam as an alternative in case the situation does not improve. In a notification, DU also said that evaluation will be done in online mode and will be decided as per departments’ discretion.
