JNU said that students can return in the last week of June



The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) said that students can expect to return to the campus between June 25 to 30. However, these dates are still tentative, the University further added. "This academic calendar is subject to change as per the developments related to COVID-19 pandemic and related guidance or instructions from the government, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) or UGC," it has said. The classes in the University were suspended on March 16 due to COVID-19 outbreak. The university will remain close until May 17. "The University shall remain closed till May 17. Students are required to stay back where they are and should not return to the campus until further notice," JNU had notified on May 3. Today, the university also released the academic calendar for the monsoon semester and provisional registrations for the existing students will be held from July 25 till July 31. “The monsoon semester classes will begin on August 1,” the university said. PhD students who could not submit their thesis due to corona virus lockdown can submit it until December 31.
