Hundreds of the students missed NEET exam in Karnataka as Trains run late



On Sunday, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that hundreds of the students from North Karnataka districts missed the NEET 2019 exam due to seven-hour delay in the Hampi Express. He further added that last minute change in the exam center and lack of clear and proper communication created disarray among the students. Candidates who missed their exams were allocated exam center in Bengaluru. The CM has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, and HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar to intervene take necessary steps to ensure that students who missed their exam get another chance to write the NEET 2019 exam. According to the reports, nearly 500 candidates missed their NEET exam. “Hundreds of students from North Karnataka districts have missed the #NEET Exam being held today at Bengaluru due to a 7-hour delay of the Hampi Express. A last-minute change in the exam centers and lack of proper communication of the same has created confusion among students. ..,” CM of Karnataka tweeted. The exam is of prime importance for the students as the medical colleges in the nation except AIIMSs and JIPMER accepts NEET scores for counseling and admission purposes.
