Online application edit option postponed for the AIIMS PG July 2020
The timeline to activate the online edit option for the AIIMS PG July 2020 exam has been postponed by the AIIMS. Earlier, the edit facility for the Basic Registration was scheduled from February 12 to February 14 but now the process will start from February 17 and end on February 19.After editing the application, applicants will be able to check the status of their applications from February 20 to February 24.In 2018, AIIMS switched to a two-stage registration process -- Basic Registration and Final Registration. In basic registration, candidates have to provide basic information and only those candidates whose applications are accepted in the Basic registration stage are allowed to complete the final registration. Candidates who wish to appear for the July 2020 AIIMS PG exam must exercise the edit option when it becomes available to make sure that the particulars are correct as no changes at a later stage will be allowed.Earlier, AIIMS had said that the majority of application rejections were due to improper filing of the application forms. The two-stage process is expected to reduce the errors and hence bring down the rejection rate.
