Rajasthan government declared no-bag day on Saturday



On Thursday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced ‘no-bag day’ for the students of government schools in Rajasthan. He said, “though there would be no studies on the said day, activities related to happiness therapy, literature and culture, sports, personality development, moral values, scout, tips to stay healthy etc shall be organized for the students”.There will also be a parent-teacher meeting on Saturday in which teachers will update parents about their ward, added Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.Mr. Ghelot also announced funds for the sportspersons in Rajasthan. He announced the following amounts for medal winners in the Olympics: Gold medal winners: Rs 3 croreSilver medal winners: Rs 2 croreBronze medal winners: Rs 1 crore For the Asian Games winners, he announced following prize amounts: Gold medal winners: Rs 1 crore Silver medal winners: Rs 60 lakhBronze medal winners: Rs 30 lakh He also announced INR 100 crore for setting up a 'Tourism Development Fund' to promote tourism and ease of traveling in Rajasthan.
