On Wednesday, the Calcutta High Court directed the West Bengal Board of Primary Education to compensate the petitioner examinees with the full marks who had given the correct answers to seven questions in the teachers recruitment test. Nearly 500 examinees had moved to the court alleging that the answers given by the board for seven questions were wrong. The court had directed the VC of the Visva-Bharati University to form an expert panel and look into the matter of answers being correct or wrong. Justice Chaterjee directed that petitioners who had given the correct answers to the questions according to the expert panel reports will be compensated with the full marks for those questions and their candidature will be considered by the board accordingly. The WB TET exam was held in 2015 to fill the 40,000 vacant posts of the primary teachers in the schools.
