Apply now : Registrations window for GATE 2019 exam to close soon
The last date for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 exam has been extended. All the candidates, who want to apply for the exam can visit the official website -- gate.iitm.ac.in and register for the exam. The last date for the registration is October 1, 2019. The last date for submitting the application fee has also been extended and candidates who will register for the exam during the extended period will have to submit an extra fee of INR 500. The foreign nationals from the Addis Ababa, Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmadu will have to pay the application fee of $70 and candidates from Dubai and Singapore will have to pay $120 for the same. This year, the GATE exam will be conducted by IIT-Madras and is scheduled on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019. GATE exam is conducted in 24 subjects including Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects. A new paper on Statistics (ST) has also been added from 2019 in GATE. The GATE score has a validity of three year from the date of declaration. The scores of GATE are also used by several PSUs to shortlist the candidates for various positions and some of the PSUs are: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limite (BHEL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI).
