Madhyamik examination question papers leaked on Social media again
Shorty after the test commenced, the question papers of the Madhyamik Examination were reportedly leaked online and this happened on the sixth consecutive day. In the last five days, images of physical science question paper were circulated on Whats App due to which political parties in West Bengal had to face sharp criticism. Madhyamik exams, are the class 10th board exams conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE). "For 6 consecutive days, #question leaked in Madhyamik examination. Never happened in #WB. A devastating situation. A destroyed education scenario," CPI(M) MLA Sujan Chakraborty said in a tweet. Kalyanmoy Ganguly, refused to comment on the situation. He is the president of WBBSE. Partha Chatterjee, West Bengal Education Minister, has sought a report on the leaked question papers. The investigation is being carried out by the CID and it has already arrested five people in the case. Chatterjee saved his position by arguing that an exam is considered leaked if the question paper is available before the commencement of the exam not after. The CPI(M)'s students wing -- SFI and youth wing DYFI -- has criticized the WBBSE for the leak. In the past five days, the question papers of Bengali, English, History, Geography and Mathematics were leaked on social media.
