JEE results delayed: Officials confirmed

JEE Mains results for the exam held in April have been delayed. An official from the NTA told NDTV who is privy to the matter. According to the official, the results for the JEE Mains 2019 exams have been delayed and will not be released this week. The date for the results of the second edition of JEE exam was fixed as April 30 by the NTA but the expectations of the early release of the results were high as NTA released the results of the JEE Exam (January edition) in record one week’s time. "The results are being prepared right now. We will not be able to release the results early as we did with the first JEE Main in January," the official said. "The results can be expected after April 30 which means the results will be delayed this time," added the official. Earlier, the official had said that the date for the release of the results will be decided on Monday, April 22, 2019. NTA is a newly formed organization which conduct various national level exams such as NEET, JEE Mains and UGC NET. According to the experts, the results are being delayed as NTA is preparing the rank list based on the marks scored by the candidates in January and April exams.
