QS world rankings for the best cities for the students



In its new ranking list, the QS has listed the cities which are best for the students and among the best 100 cities only one city from India has made it to the list and that is too towards the bottom. The list features Mumbai as one of the cities from India among the 100 best cities at the 99th place in the list. The rankings have dropped in comparison to the last year when two cities from India has made it to the list. In 2017, Mumbai was at 85th rank and Delhi was at 86th rank and this year Mumbai dropped down in the list while Delhi completely moved out of the list. The top position in the list was scored by London followed by Tokyo and Melbourne at the second and third place respectively. The fourth and fifth positions were secured by Montreal and Paris respectively. Berlin and Munich from Germany secured 6th and 7th place. Zurich from Switzerland, Sydney from Australia and Seoul from South Korea were placed on 8th, 9th, and 10th position respectively. Following five parameters were used to rank the cities: AffordabilityEmployer ActivityDesirabilityStudent MixRankings According to the list, the most affordable city is the Budapest. London ranks 82 and Mumbai 32 for their affordability. In terms of Desirability, Toronto is at the top. Melbourne is at the top for Student Mix. London is again at the top for rankings.
