On July 8, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of the candidates for post of Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct the exam under its supervision in 84 subjects at 91 cities of the nation. Important points candidate should know about NET 2018 UGC NET admit cards The admit cards for the exam are available on the official website and candidates are required to download the same from the website. No admit card will be sent to the candidates via post. On the exam center, candidates are required to bring their admit card along with the ID proof . Candidates without admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Examination center Candidates will be allowed to take test on the center which is mentioned on their admit card. No candidate will be allowed to take the exam on the center which is not allotted to him/her. Frisking To conduct the exam in a fair manner, frisking of the candidates will be done at the main gate. The candidates are required to appear at the exam center 2 hours 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam. "No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center/hall after commencement of examination. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before 10:00 AM in the 1st session and 1:00 PM in the 2nd session," says the CBSE notification. Prohibited items Use of calculators and log tables is not permitted in the exam. Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices, bits of paper, books/note books etc. Are also not allowed in the exam hall. Any candidate found in the possession of these items will not be allowed to give the exam and the case will be treated as case of unfair means.
