Rajasthan University’s VC donated his salary for the scholarship of poor students

On Saturday, Rajasthan University’s VC RK Kothari, presented the scholarship to 11 students. The scholarship to the students was given from the salary of VC and each student received a scholarship amount of INR 6000. At the time of assuming his position as a VC of the University, Mr. Kothari had said that as a VC of the university he will not take a salary for his responsibilities and duties instead all of this salary will be distributed to the needy students in form of scholarship. As of now, he has distributed scholarship among 105 girls and 51 boys worth rupees 9 lakh 36 thousand. All students have to pass through a certain selection process to be eligible for receiving the scholarship. Earlier, in December 2018, Mr. Kothari had also distributed sweaters worth rupees 20 thousand 280 rupees among students from the poor background who are studying in the Balniketan school. The school is managed and run by the university.
