Official Notification for the JEE Main 2020 to be released next month
Vineet Joshi, director-general, National Testing Agency (NTA) said that the official notification for the JEE Mains exams is expected to be released around September 1. He said this based on the schedule of the last year’s schedule. However; the exact date has not been fixed. Last year, the JEE Mains exam was conducted twice by the NTA-- in January and in April. The registrations for the JEE Main first attempt began on September 1 and the registrations for the second attempt began on February 8. "The schedule for JEE Main 2020 is yet to be finalized. But, the notification can be expected at the same time as it was released last year," Mr Joshi said. "The dates and other details regarding the exam have to be finalized in a governing body meeting which will be held soon. After that, the Agency will release details on the notification," Mr Joshi said. Under the leadership of Mr. Joshi, NTA has successfully organized various competitive exams including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The first exam of the JEE Mains was held from January 8 to 12 in two shifts and the second exam was conducted between April 7 and 12. The best score from either of the exam was considered for shortlisting the candidates for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main notification will be released on the official websites, at nta.ac.in and jeemain.nic.in.
