Day School Rankings: Delhi Government schools tops the list

A school from National Capital has topped the rankings    for the government day schools in the country and other two schools have made it to the top 10 list. The list was released by an education portal, said an official from the Delhi government.The government-run Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya (RPVV), Sector 10, Dwarka stood at rank 1 in the India School Ranking 2019 released by Education World (EW). EW is an education portal for educators, teachers and parents which comes out with rankings for schools every year.“A Delhi govt school in Dwarka has been named the best govt school in the country. Two more are in the Top 10. Congrats to all teachers, principals and officials. It is your effort that has made Delhi proud today,” said Arvind Kejriwal.The CM also congratulated teachers and principals of these schools for their hard work and efforts."A Delhi govt school in Dwarka has been named the best govt school in the country. It is your effort that has made Delhi proud today," Kejriwal tweeted.“Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya(RPVV) , Sector 10, Dwarka was ranked the best in India in the government day school category for a second consecutive year,” the statement said.Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Madras and GVHSS for Girls, Nadakkavu, Kozhikode, shared the second spot and Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Bombay, Powai stood at number 3.RPVV Lajpat Nagar and Rohini, both schools have improved their ranking and are run by the Delhi Government.Rankings are determined on the basis of the marks scored by the schools in 14 parameters -- teacher welfare and development, teacher competence, academic reputation, co-curricular education, sports education, life skills education, individual attention to students, leadership/ management, parents involvement, infrastructure quality, internationalism, special needs education, value for money and community service.
