From the next session, Rajasthan schools to adopt NCERT syllabus
Amidst all the tussle going between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress Party regarding the change in the syllabus, the state government on Wednesday announced that schools will adopt the NCERT syllabus from next session. The new syllabus will be implemented from classes 6 to 9 and class 11.Since quite a few time both parties have locked horns on the issue of syllabus. The BJP party had accused the congress of tampering with the syllabus as it glorifies a single family from history and neglected the role of the other freedom fighters such as Veer Savarkar and the Congress party has alleged that BJP is saffronizing the education system.State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara told the media: "The English and Hindi medium books of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be introduced in the government and private schools affiliated by the state government for class VI to IX and class XI as recommended by committees comprising of educationists. For the board classes including X and XII, the course curriculum will not be changed for 2020-21. However, in 2021-22, the NCERT syllabus will be implemented in these classes to”.
