Sample question papers and Exam pattern for the JEE Mains 2020 and BPlan released by NTA
From this year onwards, NTA has introduced a separate exam for the aspirants of Bachelors in Planning (BPlan) in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. Earlier, the mains exam was conducted only for the aspirants of BTech and BArch. To address the doubts of the students regarding the new examination structure, NTA has released the exam pattern and sample question paper on its official website, jeemain.nic.in.The exam for the BPlan (2020 mains) will have questions based on the general awareness regarding development issues, government programs/schemes, etc. The exam would also test the skills of the students in comprehension, questions on critical thinking and analytical skills, graphs, charts and map reading skills, besides simple statistics.NTA said “the exam will be based on CBSE class 10 social sciences. Though there will be a written passage, all the questions will be multiple-choice (MCQs) and will carry negative marking. As per the norm, each question in JEE Main 2020 is of four marks, while one mark is deducted for every wrong answer. ”Who can apply for the BPlan exam?In order to appear for the BPlan exam, candidates must have passed the qualifying exam with 50 percent marks in Maths and 50 percent in aggregate of the qualifying exam. This means that candidates with commerce or Arts with Math can also apply for the exam.Other major changes introduced in the exam is the reduction in number of questions from 30 to 25 in each section. The number of questions in 100 marks drawing test have also been reduced to two from three questions.
