Due to vacant seats, NEET cut-off for the BDS admissions lowered



The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release a revised merit list of the Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 as the Dental Council of India (DCI) has revised the cut-off for the NEET 2019 exam. The new cut-off has been lowered by 10 percentile however, there is no official confirmation of the same by the NTA.Now, candidates with the 40 percentile marks will be considered eligible to take admission into the BDS courses. For the reserved category, the same is true for candidates with 30 percentile marks and for the PwD candidates the same will be 35 percentile.These new candidates will now be considered eligible to register for the counseling. The registrations will be done from September 12 to 10 am of September 13, according to MCC.Over 15 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET examination that was conducted on May 5, of which 14,10,755 students appeared in the exam and a total of 7.97 lakh could clear the medical-dental entrance exam.
