JNU and IIT Delhi signs MoU for research and development
On Thursday, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) inked an agreement with the IIT Delhi under which both institutes will cooperate in research education and technology developments in science and other disciplines.In a statement, JNU said “Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will not only bring the two institutes together but will enormously benefit teaching, research and technology development of social and national importance.” "The main objectives of signing this MoU between the two premier institutions are to recognize each other’s strengths and co-operate in research, education and technology developments in the disciplines of science, engineering, management and social sciences," the varsity said. The collaboration between the institutes will also facilitate both the institutes to access each others libraries and central research facilities.JNU’s administration is committed to work with the IIT Delhi as this help in establishing joint ventures in areas of disaster research, JNU said in another statement. JNU’s VC also underlined the need to broaden the scope of research and teaching through such collaborations.
