JEE Mains (II) exam 2019: Registration window for the exam to close today



The online registration window for the JEE Mains (II) exam 2019, which is scheduled in April, will close today. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam in April and have not registered yet, as today is the last day fill the online application for the exam. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency and candidates who had appeared for the exam in January can also register for the exam if they are not satisfied with their performance in the January exam. The best of the scores between the two exams will be considered for admission purposes. The JEE exam is conducted for admissions to IIITs, NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and State Funded Technical Institutes (SFTIs). Class 12 students can appear for the exam, however, students who passed class 12th/qualifying exams in 2016 or before and students who will appear in such exams in 2020 or late are not eligible to appear in JEE Mains 2019 exam. Important points to remember for JEE Mains 2019 exam: Candidates applying for the exam must have taken five subjects in class 12th/qualifying exam to be eligible for the JEE Mains 2019 exam.The exam pattern for the exam due in April will same as that of held in January 2019. Mock tests for the same will be available on the official website of the National Testing Agency and designated Test Practice Centers (TPCs).The application correction window will be available from March 11 to March 15 and the facility will be available for the candidates who are applying for the first time I.e. those who had not applied for the exam held in January 2019. EWS Category students "The Candidates of JEE (Main) January, 2019 as well as April 2019 Examination(s), who come under EWS category as per the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, may mention such category in the Online Application Form available at www.jeemain.nic.in between March 11-15, 2019," reads the official notice. "The EWS Category Certificate is not to be uploaded in the JEE (Main) Portal. However, the same will be required at the time of filling up of the application for JEE (Advanced)," it adds.
