No final decision by the panel on the fate of the 108 Matric Examinees In Odisha

No final decision by the panel on the fate of the 108 Matric Examinees In Odisha

The fate of the 108 students still hangs in balance as the examination committee set up by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) failed to take any final decision about the missing 108 answer sheets of the matriculation examination in Odisha. The committee also failed to take a final call on the fate of another 500 students whose English paper was canceled as a large number of students were found practicing unfair means during the examination. All students belong to class 10th. "Although, the members of the examination committee discussed at length about certain other aspects of the Matriculation examination, they could not arrive at a final decision on the fate of the 108 students, whose answer sheets are still untraceable", BSE secretary Ramshis Hazra said. It was reported that the answer sheets of 108 students had gone missing under unknown circumstances. All the students had appeared for the exam at government-run Podia SSD High School in Malkangiri district . “Similarly, discussions on the fate of another 500 students also remained inconclusive,” Hazra said. The examination committee is expected to take a final call on the two cases very shortly.
